The two suspects accused of being involved in an April 13 homicide in Golden remain in the Jefferson County jail on a no-bond hold.
At about 4:15 p.m. on April 13, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 800 block of Kilmer Street, which is near the I-70 and West Colfax Avenue interchange. The victim, Kristian Macleod, 44, was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at 4:50 p.m.
For their alleged participation in the murder, Laci Barclay, 24, was arrested on April 14 and Joshua Polaske, 28, was arrested on April 15.
Charges against Polaske were filed on April 22. Those charges include first degree murder, distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon by a previous offender — all felonies — and two violent crime counts.
On April 19, two felony charges were filed against Barclay — accessory to murder and distribution of a controlled substance. However, on May 3, an additional count of first degree murder was added to her charges.
Arrest affidavits remain sealed for both suspects. Polaske and Barclay will return to court for a preliminary hearing at 8 a.m. June 28.
