Lakewood Police are investigating a five-vehicle car crash that left one woman dead.
At around 12:47 p.m. on Sept. 30, 47-year-old Todd Kenneth Grudznske ran his truck into 25-year-old Angela Wimmer's vehicle that was stopped at a red light at Colfax Avenue and Kipling Street. Her vehicle was forced into the intersection where it was hit by other vehicles.
Wimmer was immediately taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries.
Grudznske has been arrested and jailed on suspicion of multiple charges including Vehicular Homicide/DUI, Vehicular Homicide/Reckless Driving, Felony DUI and Violation of Protection Order, according to a release from the Lakewood Police Department.
Police cited speed and alcohol as two factors that played a role in the accident.
Both Wimmer and Grudznske are Lakewood residents.
