No bomb found at Lakewood DMV

Police responded to a bomb threat early in the morning

At around 8: 13 a.m., Lakewood Police responded to a report of a bomb threat at the DMV located at 1881 Pierce St.

Lakewood Police spokesperson John Romero said the building was evacuated, and the department worked with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office to investigate the scene. Bomb sniffing dogs were used to check the building, and no bomb was found.

The Colorado Department of Revenue has announced that the building will remain closed the entire day.
