Christmas in Brass! - 7:30 pm, Saturday, December 14, at Arvada United Methodist Church, 6750 Carr St. The Jeffco Brass performs their annual Christmas Concert. Concert is free, donations are accepted.

Holiday Concert by the Evergreen Chorale with the Denver Children’s Choir

Compositions by John Rutter, Shawn Kirchner, Daniel Elder, and Eriks Esenvalds as well as familiar seasonal favorites connected by the theme of light. The 75 members of the multi-generational Evergreen Chorale will be joined by the Summit Singers of the Denver Children's Choir for this concert.

Visit the animal kingdom via new art works by Lisa Luree & Kim Anderson in "Nature of the Beast"!

Stories on Stage presents "Making Merry"

Stories will include "O'Brien's First Christmas" by Jeanette Winterson and "The Chanukah Glutton" by Tova Mirvis and more. Jamie Horton, 23-year veteran, principal actor and director at the Denver Center Theatre Company, returns to Denver for this annual holiday show! Joining him on stage is GerRee Hinshaw and Karen Slack as they all will bring the spirit of the season alive!

English Paper Pieced Quilt Exhibit at Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum

Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum issued a Call for Entries for quilts using the British Style of English Paper Piecing. Quilts made from this longtime, labor intensive method, are hand pieced, enabling the quilter to accomplish precise and detailed work. Quilts on display range from traditional to modern abstract works of art, and a selection of Museum quilts constructed using the English Paper Pieced method, along with some of Tina Gravatt’s miniature quilts made with English Paper Piecing.

The Birth of Hope - A Christmas Cantata: 10:00 a.m., Sunday, December 15, at Arvada United Methodist Church, 6750 Carr St. The Cantata, featuring choirs, bell choirs and orchestra, explores what hope can birth in our lives. A free-will offering will be taken.
