Tigers pounce on Denver East

Girls hoopsters advance to Great-8 in state playoffs


It is on to round four of the state tournament for the Lakewood High School girls basketball team. The 9th-seed Tigers defeated the 8th ranked Denver East team 51-43, on Feb. 28, to advance.

Camilla Emsbo was the lead scorer for LHS, with 18 points. She was 5 for 6 from the free throw line.

The Tigers now advance to the state quarterfinals, and will play Highlands Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on March 3, at the Denver Coliseum.
