Police received a call at about 4:13 p.m. on April 6 about a possible body. When they arrived, they found a dead woman in the grassy, hilly area on the southeast corner of the property, according to the Lakewood Police Department.
The was was indetiifed as Monica Niland, 53. According to information provided by Steve Davis, public information officer with the department, Niland was homeless and last known from the Longmont area.
Police are still waiting for the results from toxicology, but Davis said the death is not suspicious. It might have been a result of exposure or overdose.
Detectives and crime lab personnel responded to the situation, and the investigation into the situation is ongoing.
