Love of laughter, biking and yoga
I love laughing. Being goofy is important to me, whether it’s with kids or adults.
I’ve been doing yoga for about 20 years. I like that it’s somewhat meditative and that it’s a workout at the same time.
I also love road biking. I did the Bike MS: Colorado last year and I’ll be doing it again this year in June. I have two friends who suffer from MS, but it was some work friends who invited me to do it. It’s a fun ride, and it’s for a good cause.
I’m 39. I moved to Colorado in 2005. I was working in upstate New York, but wanted to move further west. The first job I accepted in my field was for the city of Golden to run their summer camp.
My family and I live in Lakewood, about four blocks from Wheat Ridge. We’ve been here for about four-and-a-half years.
I have a 6-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son. My husband Brian and I got married in 2010 in Morrison. My family is in Texas, but Brian is a Colorado native.
I spent 14 years in the adult learning field. I started out in the Peace Corps. I lived in Senegal, which is in West Africa, for two years. There, I was an environmental education Peace Corps volunteer. I loved the people and the community — and the chance to learn other languages and experience another culture. I learned French and a local dialect called Mandinka.
My undergrad degree is in wildlife ecology, and my graduate degree is in international development. I worked in zoos off and on for eight years, and now with my business, I still get to serve them.
Dive Coaching — Developing Individual Value & Excellence
I never thought I’d own my own business, but I do. It’s called Dive Coaching.
I’m a professional development coach and leadership workshop facilitator. I work with teams and leaders to help them be more affective in their professional lives. Most of my clients are nonprofits, cities and counties, and small-to-mid sized businesses.
I work all over Denver-metro and across Colorado. I’ve also worked in Louisiana, Texas, Chicago and Canada.
I enjoy helping people become more engaged and happy at work. I feel very strongly that all people should feel happy, valued and effective at their jobs.
