Letter to the editor: Dahlkemper has proven history

Posted

As an engaged Jefferson County resident, here’s my local voting practice: the closer to my backyard, the less I care about party and platform; the more I care about Proven History, Prudence, Presence, and Passion. I am voting YES for Lesley Dahlkemper for District 3 County Commissioner because she consistently demonstrates all four values in my “backyard”.
Lesley’s proven history includes effective public service as the past Jeffco School Board president plus private sector experience as an efficient senior-level executive and successful business owner. Lesley’s background will bring prudence, accountability, and competence to overseeing Jeffco’s $556M budget. She will ensure our hard-earned tax dollars provide beneficial services, build opportunity, and enhance our quality of life.
Over the years, I’ve connected with Lesley at countless meetings across Jefferson County. Sometimes she is presenting, sometimes she’s in the audience but she is always listening and engaging people in the room. She actively seeks a range of viewpoints then incorporates input to solve problems and advance priorities.
Lesley’s passion for Jeffco shines through her lengthy record of community service which includes boards such as the Boys & Girls Club, The Action Center and Saint Anthony’s Hospital. She is dedicated to preserving Jeffco’s natural beauty, improving safety and tackling transportation so we can continue to be proud to call Jefferson County home.
Vote all the way down the ballot and vote for Lesley Dahlkemper to represent you with a proven history of prudence, presence and passion in our backyard.www.DahlkemperForJeffCo.com
